Meet Jen Fox!

Our community deserves reliable representation from someone who knows our district and is committed to bringing our voices to the Capitol. 

As a lifelong Hastings resident, I couldn’t imagine a better place to live, work, or raise a family. My decades of involvement in the community, both individually and as a former member of the City Council, has uniquely positioned me with a deep understanding of the issues our district is facing today and the importance of having someone in office who will do something about it.

I am also a part owner of Spiral Brewery, a popular business on Second Street in downtown Hastings where I run the Sales and Distribution Division. I have seen the businesses come and go as they struggle to adapt to an uncertain economy and keep up with ever changing mandates.
​
As a small business owner, I know the challenges our businesses are facing and want to be a partner in creating a thriving local economy that works for everyone in Cottage Grove, DenmarkTownship, Ninninger and Hastings.

Minnesota families and small businesses are all feeling the hardships of political and economic uncertainty. As a lifelong Hastings resident, a small business owner, and former member of the Hastings City Council, I know how to advocate for the issues we care about most and can work across the aisle to get things done.

 

I am running to bring a voice from the district to St. Paul on behalf of business owners, local governments, and all residents in District 41. I am deeply committed to bringing in voices from our community and holding a seat at the table for those directly impacted by our decisions to ensure no one is left behind or forgotten.

I have a well rounded range of experience that will support my work at the Capitol:

  • Lifelong Hasting Resident 

  • Small Business Owner

  • Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Leadership from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul

  • Bachelor’s Degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter

  • Local Policy Experience:

    • Former member of the Hastings City Council

    • Former Commissioner and Treasurer for the Hastings Economic Development and Redevelopment Authority (HEDRA)

    • Former member of the Dakota County 911 Board

  • Experience in State Government:

    • Former Director of Consumer Outreach and Community Relations for the Minnesota Department of Commerce 

    • Former Communications Manager for the Minnesota Office of Higher Education
